OREANDA-NEWS. Shane Tedjarati, President of Honeywell Global High Growth Regions, attended the 8th U.S.-China CEO and Former Senior Officials’ Dialogue on May 18 and 19 in Washington, D.C. The session, co-hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and China Center for International Economic Exchanges, brought together leading entrepreneurs and former high-level officials from the two nations to exchange views on China-U.S. commercial partnership.

During the dialogue, Shane emphasized the importance of further strengthening and expanding U.S.-China economic cooperation and openness. “Continuing the ability for the U.S. and China to work together to solve the world’s problems and to build peaceful commercial ties is going to be hugely important for not just these two countries, but for the world as well,”  said Shane.

He also pointed out that Honeywell has been highly committed to innovating in China to address some of the country’s key issues, such as air pollution. With China as its innovation base for the past decade, Honeywell’s technologies are making our world cleaner and more sustainable, more secure, connected, energy efficient, and productive.

Shane also mentioned that by immediately adopting existing technologies from Honeywell across the residential, commercial, industrial and transportation sectors, the U.S. could reduce its energy consumption by 20% to 25%. In the long term, making better use of existing technologies and reinforcing a sustainable development model through persistent innovations is the path that will allow for greater business and economic growth in China.
