Rockwell Collins complete first CES to Venue™ cabin upgrade in Europe
Venue is the most cost-effective cabin upgrade solution for CES-equipped Globals since it utilizes certain cabin components already on the aircraft. This upgrade path also leads to less aircraft downtime.
“In many cases, there is no need to completely rip out a cabin to bring it up to date with the latest technologies,” said Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager, Flight Controls and Information Systems for Rockwell Collins. “Our Venue solution goes beyond today, too, with the flexibility to adapt with new consumer technologies as they come to market.”
“AMAC Aerospace is very happy to have worked with Rockwell Collins on this exciting new Venue system, which by all accounts, has marginalized the downtime necessary for this new system installation. Our client is very happy with the Rockwell Collins Venue system and we expect more requests to arrive as with the same client satisfaction,” said Eric Hoegen, sales & key account manager, AMAC Aerospace.
Rockwell Collins’ Venue provides passengers with a home-like entertainment experience using HD audiovisuals with intuitive, easy-to-control cabin interfaces and consumer technologies that passenger’s desire. Venue also enables a conference room-like experience in order for passengers to conduct business seamlessly.
