OREANDA-NEWS. Datsun brand continues to expand its presence in the global market: the brand returned to Sri Lanka, where it was presented at first in 1957.

Datsun enters again the Sri Lankan market with the latest addition of its model range - the new Datsun redi-GO. Recall, sales of this model in India started at the beginning of June 2016.

"Return of Datsun to Sri Lanka – is a key element of our expansion into emerging markets, where demand for personal cars is growing - said the head of the brand Datsun, Kobe Vincent. – “We are pleased to return to Sri Lanka with the model Datsun redi-GO, to extend our offer in the largest segment of the market".

Datsun redi-GO will be sold through a dealer network of the company Associated Motorways (Private) Ltd. (AMW) - long-term Nissan partner in Sri Lanka. As planned, sales of Datsun redi-GO will begin in September.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", in July, the brand Datsun also returned to the market in Lebanon, where it will be presented by sedan Datsun on-DO and hatchback Datsun mi-DO, which are produced at AVTOVAZ. Thus, Lebanon became the third export market for Russian-made cars Datsun after Kazakhstan and Belarus.
