OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of Lexus sold 12,752 cars for the first seven months of 2016, which is more by 15% compared to the same period of the last year. The market share of brand Lexus in the Russian market was 1.6% (+ 0.4%), and in the premium segment Japanese brand increased its share by 2.5 percentage points, by occupying 14.9%. In July, sales of Lexus cars remained at the last year level and they were 1,665 units (+ 0.2%), informed the press service of Lexus.

NX compact crossover kept the leadership by the level of demand in the segment of mid-size premium crossover of D-SUV-Premium. In July, it was sold 582 Lexus NX cars, and from the beginning of the year, sales of this model reached 3816 units (with account of hybrid version of NX 300h), which is also the best record in this segment.

The flagship full-size SUV Lexus LX continues to increase its share in the segment of F-SUV-Premium. It grew by 9.5% and reached a record value of 19.5% in January-July of 2016. In January-July it was sold 3083 Lexus LX cars, also in July - 334 units.

Stable demand is kept for business sedan Lexus ES – it was sold 146 cars in July. From January to July, total sales of this model were 1,045 vehicles and the market share of Lexus ES in the segment E-Premium grew by 3.9% and it reached 11.1%.
