Aeroflot Declares Limitations to Passengers Traveling to European Union countries, Canada, Norway, USA and Switzerland
OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2007, currently there are limitations implemented with regard to the liquids, gels, aerosols carried in hand luggage of passengers effective in the airports of the above countries, reported the press-centre of “Aeroflot - Russian Airlines” OJSC.These limitations are valid for: water and other drinks, soups and syrups; creams, lotions and oils; perfumes; sprays; gels, including hair formulas and shower and body gels; content of containers, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants; pastes, including tooth paste; mixtures of liquid and solid agents; ink; other similar substances.
Each passenger is permitted to bring on-board just some limited amount of above listed substances, provided they are packed in containers with volume not exceeding 100 ml. Containers must be packed in transparent plastic bag with its volume not exceeding 1 liter, each passenger is permitted to have only one such plastic bag as a hand luggage. You may bring your own bags, however they must be have special "zipper" (see the attached poster). In your hand-luggage you may have only the following items in volumes exceeding specified above: baby food required for in-flight time; prescribed medicine required for in-flight time. However, when passing security checkpoints you should be prepared to prove your real need in these items to be brought on-board.
Still ALLOWED: to carry all the above items in your luggage; to purchase drinks and perfumes in duty-free stores located in the airport or on-board of the aircraft. However, in case the items you purchase are specially packed and sealed, please, do not modify this packing before security checkpoint inspection - otherwise content of packing may be forfeited by security officials. In case you change your flight in any EC airport, please, do not open your purchase before you pass security inspection in this airport or in the airport of your next flight change.
