OREANDA-NEWS. On November 6–7, representatives of Tashkent Nuclear Physics Institute (Uzbekistan) checked up the quality of TBC IRT-4M fuel assemblies manufactured at Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant for the institute, Rosatom informs with reference to PR Directorate of TVEL. The Uzbek experts were satisfied with the quality of the products. The chief engineer of the institute A. Dosimbayev said that the products fully met the requirements of the contract.

And, on November 5–9, representatives of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) inspected the quality of fuel produced for Kudankulam NPP (India). They were watching how specialists of the fuel element and fuel assembly production department tested fuel assemblies and put them into transportation containers. The Indian experts were impressed with the high quality of the fuel produced by NCCP and with the professionalism of the local personnel. They confirmed that the quality of the fuel complied with the terms of the contract and that the fuel was ready for shipment to Kudankulam.
