OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2007. SibCOTES has become a prize-winner of the National Business Award – “The Company of the Year - 2007”. The prize in the category “Fuel and Energy Complex” was awarded to SibCOTES as the best company in the sector within the Siberian Region. The prize was presented to SibCOTES’ representative by Vladimir Strashko, Vice-President of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anatoly Porshnev, President of the State Management University, and Yuri Lyubimov, Counsellor to the Minister for the RF Economic Development and Trade. 

SibCOTES provides project engineering support for the Customers, implements design, commissioning and testing, as well as energy audit and environmental audit of equipment for large power facilities. Today the Company pools its workforce of more than 600 professional employees in the Novosibirsk HQ and five Branch Offices (Barnaul, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and Irkutsk). In 2007, over 150 employees joined the Company. SibCOTES actively introduces state-of-the-art global and in-house developments in power sector allowing its Customers to greatly improve equipment efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions. By estimate, in 2007, the market share of SibCOTES in design and engineering services for the Russian power industry was 7.5%. The portfolio of the Company’s business increased 1.5 times against 2006. By the end of 2007, the revenue is expected to amount to one billion roubles.

“The Company of the Year” National Award was established at the end of 1990s and became the most upmarket national business award. Since last year the prize has been awarded in the regions as well. The companies operating in the territory of one or more Federal Districts and specializing in industrial, service and financial sectors are invited to participate. The main target of the regional award is to raise awareness on the activity of the companies operating in a domestic market, as well as to improve investment attractiveness of the regions and create a rapidly growing business community in Russia.
