OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2007. Working in the production areas of the processing facility at the Baikonur launch site, specialists from S.P.Korolev RSC Energia, together with representatives from subcontractor companies and organizations, are preparing for launch of transportation spacecraft Progress M-62 and Progress M-63, which are scheduled to be launched to the International Space Station, per Russian commitments, on December 23, 2007 and February 7, 2008, respectively, the corporation's press service reports.

In accordance with the processing schedule for Progress M-62 spacecraft, over the period of November 7 through December 2, the spacecraft passed acceptance after its transportation to the launch site from the Experimental Machine-building Plant of RSC Energia, test power-ups and integrated tests of the spacecraft systems, checkouts of the Kurs docking radio system and spacecraft leak tests.

At present, the final processing operations are being performed to prepare the spacecraft for filling scheduled for December 14, and loading deliverable equipment and cargoes on-board. On Progress M-63 spacecraft, delivered from the Experimental Machine-building Plant of RSC Energia to Baikonur launch site on December 3, 2007, after acceptance and preparations for electrical tests, the work was started on test power-ups of the systems, which will continue till December 15.
