OREANDA-NEWS. On February 08, 2007 as the press service of ANRE informed, measuring and accounting natural gas in the transmission-reception points will be performed in accordance with the requirements of the Order of measuring natural gas for commercial purposes, approved by the administrative board of the Agency.

This document is compulsory for all participants of the natural gas market, including everyday consumers. Deputy Chief of regulation and licensing of ANRE Ion Nistor informed that agency has developed this regulation due to the absence of the statuary act in this field. He specified that to date the work was performed on the basis of already outdated instructions.

The regulation determines procedures of measuring and accounting natural gas, categories of the measurement systems, measuring conditions and requirements to measuring points, through which transmission/reception of imported, exported, transported, distributed, delivered and consumed gas are made.

The regulation determines technical conditions of installation, operation, maintenance and periodical metrological inspection of the counters. The document stipulates that inspection of the counters should be made in authorised laboratories. In case of breakage of the counters installed, by the proven fault of the consumer, the cost of their repairs and additional inspection bears the latter.
