OREANDA-NEWS. On February 11, 2007 as the executive director of the Bureau of Credit Histories IMC Infocredit Marcel Scorpan informed at the press conference on Friday, the bureau was created to increase the level of protection of creditors and debtors in respect to general decline in credit risks as well as to increase the efficiency of financial institutions.

The Bureau carries out collection, storage, inspection, analysis of information on the debtors for onward transmission to the banks. Due to this system, the debtors get their own credit history, which makes credit more accessible and transparent. As Marcel Scorpan noted, IMC Infocredit is already beginning to provide financial structures of Moldova with information on the clients of financial institutions, their financial behavior and fulfillment of obligations. This kind of information will evaluate possible risks of non-payments, identify non-payers and maximally reduce outstanding loans.

Marcel Scorpan noted that share of debts on the credits and outstanding loans have highly increased due to big distribution of consumer crediting. Using data of Bureau of Credit Histories, the banks can know whether the client has received the loan from another bank and if he returned it. As Marcel Scorpan noted, at the first stage, the Bureau of Credit Histories IMC Infocredit signed the agreement with four commercial banks of Moldova: "Moldova Agroindbank", "Banca de Economii", "Mobiasbanca" and "Victoriabank". They became partners of IMC Infocredit and suppliers of information for the Bureau of Credit Histories.

Other financial structures - ProCredit, MMP, IMC Leasing, Total Leasing, EuroLeasing - are potential partners of IMC Infocredit. The suppliers of information from non-banking sector and potential partners are insurance companies: Moldasig, Donaris, Gallas and ASITO. Other providers of information are telecommunication companies, public and private registers. Bureau of Credit Histories IMC Infocredit operates in strict accordance with the international standards of informational protection, using modern software.
