OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 May 2008 was announced, that the realization of the social housing programs by the Moscow City Government will enable to build more than 10 million square metres of dwelling in 2008-2012.

Marina Ogloblina, head of Department of economic policy and development of Moscow, emphasized at a session of City Hall on May 6 that the programs were to reduce the number of people on the waiting list for improving their housing conditions as well as to raise the level of provision with housing and its affordability.

“167 schools for 93,900 students, 39 elementary schools for 11,100 pupils and 295 preschool institutions for 41,500 children will be built in 2008-2012,” Ms Ogloblina added.
