OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2008. At the end of April 2008, Andrei Lukin, an independent director on the Board of Directors of Bank Electronika, took part in a forum titled “Strategy for Financing and Managing Capitalization.” The program was held in London.

The world’s leading experts in corporate, investment, and financial planning met recently in the world’s largest financial capital. Attendees included representatives from such financial organizations and legal firms as Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (Japan), Dewey & LeBoeuf (USA), White and Case (USA), Seagull Projects (Great Britain), Slavin and Associates (Great Britain), Withers (Great Britain), Salans (France), UBS (Switzerland), Clyde & Co (Great Britain), and Griffin Capital (Great Britain). The goal of the forum was to acquaint those present with approaches to valuing companies and comparative analysis methods for various types of financing. Leading Ventures Associates, a British company, organized the program.

Bank Electronika has worked since 2005 to perfect its level of corporate governance. Today – at the stage of realizing strategic development – managing capitalization and increasing the value of the company are particularly salient issues for Bank Electronika. By participating in the London forum, the Bank gained access to the best international practice in building the value of a business and the influence of corporate governance on that indicator. Moreover, it had an opportunity to discuss types of financing,  questions of financial risks, and placement of capital from CIS companies in the international market with international experts.
