OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2008. It is provided by the amendments to the Law on the business patent approved by the Parliament in the first reading.

Previously, it was supposed that retail trade on the basis of the business patent from the stalls, counters and cars at specialized markets will be banned since January 1, 2009. Amendments establish the top level of trade on the basis of the business patent amounting to 300 thousand leis per year.

In addition, the law identifies specific groups of goods, which can be sold on the basis of the business patent. They also oblige the patent holders to pay contributions to social and mandatory health insurance funds, as well as increase in the cost of the patents.

The Government has decided to reschedule the ban on retail sales on the basis of the business patent till January 1, 2017 after negotiations with the patent holders. Previously authorities imposed this ban for preventing tax evasion and shadow business activity.

The Government has proposed facilitated and free registration regime for individual entrepreneurs to all those who will stop activity on the basis of the business patents.
