OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 May 2008 was announced, that KrasAir airlines, the leader in AIRUnion alliance, resumes its flights to Barnaul. The flights will be performed daily by Boeing 737-300. Last year the passenger traffic between Moscow and Barnaul was 236,000 passengers, that is a 13,3% rise over 2006. Together with KrasAir S7 airline operates flights from Moscow International Airport Domodedovo to the center of Altai region.

Also on that day ORENAIR airlines will start performing flights from Domodedovo to Sochi. The flights will be operated three times a week. This route gains popularity among the passengers on summer season. In 2007 995,000 passengers were carried on route Moscow - Sochi - Moscow, that is a 12,3% rise over the previous year. According the preliminary forecasts, the passenger traffic growth will make 17% in 2008.

KrasAir - one of the largest carriers in Russia. In the end of 2004 five airlines - KrasAir, Domodedovo airlines, Samara, Omskavia and Sibaviatrans were united. Being legally independent, airlines combined its resources and now they cooperate on parity mutually beneficial basis. From June 2005 airlines work under united brand AIRUnion.

ORENAIR is dynamically developing airlines. According to ratings among 182 Russian airlines ORENAIR takes 14th position in terms of passenger traffic and 10th position in terms of international passenger traffic for January - October, 2007.
