On 21 May 2008 was announced, that Vnukovo Airport stands ready to welcome the British football supporters, arriving to the Russian Capital from London for the UEFA Champions League Final. On May 20, 21, Vnukovo International is expecting to welcome up to six thousand Chelsea FC fans, who will return home after the match, with some of them flying back to London on the same night, and the rest during most of the 22nd. Similar arrangement will be brought into effect upon the supporters’ return journey [to London] as well.

A total of more than 200 coaches and buses will be brought in to transfer supporters from the Airport to the Arena and to bring them back again after the match.

The UEFA Champions League Final match will be held on May 21, 2008, at Moscow’s landmark Luzhniki Arena between the two English football majors of Chelsea and Manchester United.
