OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2008. The 12th international exposition Oil and Gas in Uzbekistan – OGU 2008 has ended in Tashkent.  Stroytransgaz was one of the companies that participated in the exposition.

“OGU 2008” is regarded as a significant event in Uzbekistan’s oil and gas industry. With each passing year, the number of participants grows, and this year there were more than 180 leading companies from over 30 countries – China, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Vietnam, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Iran, the United States, Malaysia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan among them.

Russia is hoping to expand its work with Uzbekistan, including modernizing the infrastructure in the oil and gas industry of its Central Asian neighbor. For its part, Uzbekistan views Russia not only as a reliable strategic partner but also as an ally in resolving the larger, critical challenges facing the republic. President Islam Karimov spoke of this during a recent meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Stroytransgaz’s presentation of activities attracted lively interest from the many Uzbek officials and specialists who visited the exposition. Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Ergash Shaismatov and representatives of the republic’s ministries and agencies examined our company’s exhibition and asked questions of the professionals staffing the stand.
