OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2008. In 2007, net profit of Murmansk Shipping Company grew 2.6 times to RUR 760.2 million, the company reports. The revenue of Murmansk Shipping Company grew by 16.5%, year-on-year, to RUR 7.086 billion, pre-tax profit – up 2.8 times to RUR 948.8 million, sales profit – up 2.1 times to RUR 702.9 million. In the first quarter 2008, revenue of  Murmansk Shipping Company increased by 18.1%, year-on-year, to RUR 1.855 billion, net profit – up by 13.3% to RUR 139.4 million.

Murmansk Shipping Company was incorporated in 1993. The largest shareholder of the company is Arctic Technologies company (60.09% of shares), 25.5% of shares are owned by the state. Murmansk shipping company is the only Russian shipping company capable for active all-year-round work in the Arctic regions.
