OREANDA-NEWS. On October 03, 2008 VTB Capital has announced the appointment of Sergei Dubinin as a member of the Board of Directors. He will be responsible for developing cooperation with large corporate customers in financial and industrial sectors, reported the press-centre of VTB.

Sergei Dubinin, Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in 1995-98, has in-depth expertise in executive positions both in government institutions and large Russian corporations, such as Gazprom and RAO UES, where he worked during the most active periods of Russian market development and domestic economy reformation.

Sergei Dubinin started his career in Lomonosov Moscow State University (1976-91), where he took the positions of a teacher, senior teacher, senior research officer, and associate professor of the Faculty of Economics.

Sergei Dubin graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with honors (1973).  He has gained specialties of Economist, and Teacher of Political Economy. Candidate of Economics (1977; dissertation subject Agricultural loan in the USA). Doctor of Economics (1990; dissertation subject: “Budget and Finance regulation of economy and its influence on the competitiveness of the national economy of the capitalist countries”.
