OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2008. Already for the fourth year in a row Sorainen announced master’s theses competition for law students. This year the grand prix went to Sergei Jegorov. The theses prepared by Mihkel Miidla and Arsi Pavelts were also awarded, reported the press-centre of Sorainen.

Carri Ginteri, head of the scholarship award committee and Partner at Sorainen, said that an important evaluation criterion is the practical value of theses. “An award winning work must be of such a level as to provide added value to practicing attorneys-at-law," explained Mr Ginter.

“The grand prix and the other two award-winning theses definitely provide practicing lawyers with helpful insights”, he added.

Sorainen’s theses competition is aimed at fostering research on law and acknowledging outstanding students whose theses were recognised by grade "A".

Eligible students included master’s degree graduates from the University of Tartu, Faculty of Law, whose theses were of practical value and treated company law issues.
