OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2008. In September, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 0.1 million to form LTL 15.5 billion at the end of the month, and external liabilities declined by LTL 24.5 million to LTL 69.0 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

Currency in circulation decreased by LTL 84.7 million to LTL 9.0 billion at the end of the month. Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania increased by LTL 46.3 million to LTL 5.1 billion, of which, central government deposits went up by LTL 457.3 million to form LTL 1.9 billion at the of the month, while deposits of other MFIs decreased by LTL 409.0 million to LTL 3.2 billion at the end of September.

Changes in the balance sheet items of the Bank of Lithuania have been disclosed taking into account transactions, i.e. by eliminating the effect of revaluation adjustments of prices and foreign exchange rates as well as other reclassifications.
