OREANDA-NEWS. On October 16, 2008, by his Decree No 562 President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko approved the State Investment Programme 2009, reported the Official website http://president.gov.by.

In accordance with the Programme, a total of Br 2637.6 billion – including the money allocated form the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus – will be allocated to finance the construction of 669 facilities (the construction of 243 of them will start in 2009), of which 310 are due for completion (including the commissioning of certain phases of construction projects currently in progress).

A total of Br 2074.4 billion worth of national budget funds will be allocated to finance the Programme, including:

Br 1481.3 billion (96.1 per cent as against the level of 2008 in comparable prices) – government capital investment;

Br 190.8 billion (102.7 per cent as against 2008, this including the money allocated from local nature protection funds and accumulated in the national budget) – money from the national budget nature protection fund to finance construction of production (ecological) facilities;

Br 401.4 billion (131.9 per cent as against 2008, this including allocations from local road funds accumulated in the national budget) – money from the national budget road fund to finance capital construction projects;

Br 0.9 billion (14.2 per cent) – money from the Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
