OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2008. Sergey Krjukov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Bank for Development took part in the meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Central Federal Okrug on October, in Kursk, reported the press-centre of RBD.

The subject of the meeting was improvement of operational environment for small and mid-sized enterprises in CFO.

Speaking about RBD’s efforts in SME lending support within the State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” Sergey Krjukov emphasized that presently RBD is coopering in CFO with 19 counter-party banks which totally have received RUR 2.8 billion.

The share of SMEs operating in CFO in RBD’s loan portfolio equals 23%. Loans were extended to more than 260 small and mid-sized enterprises.

In the future RBD intends to expand its presence in the Central Federal Okrug by involving in the SME lending program new counter-party banks which grant loans to SMEs. At that when creating favorable business climate the interest of the regional administrations to the given enterprises is crucial.

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in CFO G. Poltavchenko, governors of the RF political subdivisions included in CFO and representatives of NGOs and business community participated in the meeting.
