OREANDA-NEWS  On 28 October was announced, that Helios IT-Solutions, a subsidiary of ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD), won a tender for the provision of the specialized equipment and software for the Federal Education Agency. Under the contract worth RUB 195m (USD 7.5m), the company will equip 700 workplaces for teachers responsible for methodology at elementary and vocational schools.

Helios IT-Solutions will install computer and office equipment as well as the required applications and educational software, which ultimately aim to establish a state-of-the-art training process at educational institutions in compliance with the objectives set out in the federal education development program.

Each of the 700 workplaces is a balanced software and hardware package for developing teaching recommendations and creating e-manuals for students. A standard workstation will be equipped with a desktop and a laptop computer, a color printer, a document scanner, an all-in-one printer, a projector and an interactive whiteboard. Moreover, each teacher will have access to the e-learning system “Master 2008” provided by Competentum. Competentum software will simplify the process of study, automate operations with e-manuals and provide effective control over the learning process.

This project is a further stage of the cooperation between Helios IT-Solutions and educational institutions. Earlier, the company took part in the creation of the IT infrastructure for the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, as well as for the Unified Sate Exam information centers.
