OREANDA-NEWS. On October 28, 2008 AB Mazeikiu Nafta reported processing 7,244 MM tones of feedstock in nine months this year, crude oil comprised 6,962 MM tones. Comparing to the same nine-month period of previous year, the Company throughput increased by 45 percent, which is 4,981 MM tones of feedstock which included 4,005 MM tones of crude oil, reported the press-centre of Mazeikiu Nafta.

During the third quarter of 2008, the Company's throughput was the same as in the second quarter this year, i.e. 2,57 MM tones of feedstock (2,51 MM tones of crude oil), which is 42 percent more than in the third quarter of 2007.

In the third quarter 2008, the production efficiency factor reached 101 percent (with the throughput of 10 MM tones of feedstock per year) and was 40 percent greater than in the same period in 2007 (60,1 percent).The production efficiency factor of the second quarter was 99 percent. 

Assessing 2008 third-quarter performance results, Marek Mroczkowski, General Director of AB Mazeikiu Nafta, said that, in 2008 third quarter, the Company processed the greatest volume of feedstock during the past eight years.“The performance stability and high feedstock processing level was reached due to 2007 shutdown and vacuum distillation unit restoration”, – said M. Mroczkowski.
