OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2008.  The Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ trademark) has assembled heavy-duty trailer BelAZ-79201 /new modification/ for the Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ trademark). On October 30, the new trailer will be supplied to BMZ.

The heavy-duty trailer is equipped with engine Cumminz. It is not a serial production.

The heavy-duty trailer can drive under the platform with a load, to lift the platform and transport it. The trailer may transport various loads of the metallurgical production: scrap metal, molten slag, cakes, slabs, wire, profile iron, plate stands, ladles, melted steel and pipes. The trailers also may reload melted slag from steel furnace to cinder dump.

The Belarusian Automobile Plant launched the production of the heavy-duty trailers in the late 80s. Then, BelAZ produced a 60-tonne slag-pot transfercar and a 140-tonne heavy-duty trailer for the Belarusian Steel Works. In 1998, BMZ designed and produced 150-tonne heavy-duty trailer BelAZ-7926. All in all, the Belarusian Automobile Plant assembled nine heavy-duty trailers.
