OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2009. The fleet of the agro-industrial ministries and departments of Turkmenistan is replenished. At the end of the year 2008 the first consignment of UAZ vehicles (Ulianovsk automobile plant, the Russian Federation) was delivered to the country. The material and technical basis of motor industry is modernized to achieve the goals of the agricultural reforms initiated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The first 125 off-road vehicles were delivered to Turkmenistan under the contract concluded by the Turkmenobahyzmat Association with INTEGRA Company at the requests of the agroindustrial subdivisions. 928 vehicles will be delivered to the country under the contract amounted to over US\\$ 10.3 million. The contract stipulates for warranty repair and maintenance of vehicles during the year.

Off-road vehicles well known for the perfect running characteristics and ability to operate under any weather conditions will help agricultural specialists to fulfill the tasks. UAZ off-road vehicles run along rural roads throughout the country. In accordance with the Resolution a next consignment will be delivered to Turkmenistan within the next six months.
