OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 January 2008 was announced, that last Wednesday the laureates of the Paryz-2008 contest in social responsibility of business were rewarded. That event attracted attention of all the Kazakhstani citizens as the results of the activities of entities and organizations of the Republic in creation of constructive atmosphere, improvement of quality of life of employees, reinforcement of the material and technical base were summarized there. In a word it was about the results of everything that was done not only for all of us but for each person particularly. The President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev participated in the rewarding ceremony.

Bogatyr Access Komyr, LLP took part in the Best Collective Bargaining Agreement Nomination and among the 61 nominees it won the third place. The bronze statuette and the Commemorative Diploma were presented to the General Director of the entity Mr. Viktor Schukin.

That news quickly spread all over the large miners’ collective. It was a like a symbolic summarizing of their intensive labor activities in the expiring 2008. And the results are impressive: for the first time in the last decade the Bogatyr people are planning to mine and sell their customers over 46 million tonnes of coal. It will become a new record!

Such success became possible owing to the fact that at the entity all the conditions for fruitful work for each miner of the Company have been created. In a targeted manner the Company converts to the new management system, implements the state-of-the-art technologies. All of that encourages people to work with even a bigger interest and in a more productive manner. In this case it is important that the mutual relationship between the labor collective and the administration of Bogatyr Access Komyr, LLP is built on the basis of the Collective Bargaining Agreement regulating social and economic and labor relations. It stipulates mutual obligations of the parties covering the matters of labor relations, working time, hours of rest and employment, social guarantees, safety engineering and job safety, work with youth. In many respects owing to stringent execution of all the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement the employees of the entity are nowadays getting well deserved pay.

Besides obligatory state guarantees in the realm of labor relations, labor payment, safety engineering and job safety the Collective Bargaining Agreement stipulates the so called social package comprising additional benefits and guarantees, which is regularly expanded and supplemented with new provisions. Its pecuniary portion amounts now to as much as KZT 450 million per annum.

The management of the Company considers the Collective Bargaining Agreement to be the fundamental document in the development of the entity. Its implementation is the key to success of the entire miners’ collective.
