OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2009. Now the personnel are optimizing the fuel systems of the boiler in order to set its full capacity at 240 tons of steam an hour. For the moment, 84% of the work to reconstruct the Seversk plant has been implemented. This project is being carried out in the framework of the Agreement between the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation and the Department of Energy of the Untied States Concerning the Shutdown of Plutonium Production Reactors and the Cessation of Use of Newly Produced Plutonium for Nuclear Weapons envisaging shut-down of ADE-4 and ADE-5 reactors in Seversk, Tomsk region, and ADE-2 reactor in Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk region.

In 2008 Atomstroy launched boiler #2, turbine #10, boilers 21 and 5, a unique chemically desalinated water system, the third northern heat main and new heating equipment of the municipal and commercial boiler plants and received Rostekhnadzor’s permission for operational tuning.
