OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 February 2009 was announced, that Belarus will establish an automated information system to control commodity flows, in accordance with resolution #33 of the government.

The documents constituting a tax secret may be revealed to the National Bank to facilitate the creation of the information system to control specific commodity groups.

The government instructed the Justice Ministry to grant the central bank access to the Unified register of legal entities and entrepreneurs in order to maintain the information system.

According to a source close to the government, the new information system will enable he government to increase the efficiency of state control and interaction between state agencies.

“It is planned to tighten control over alcohol flows – initially, the mechanism will apply to the entities that produce, transfer and consume alcohol-containing substances. New rules may soon apply to all commodities subject to marking with identification stamps,” the source said.
