OREANDA-NEWS  On 19 February was announced, that BNP Paribas Assurance received two awards in this first week of February 2009, in recognition of initiatives, conducted as part of its strategy on corporate social responsibility.

In the context of the Tom Com Corporate Business awards given for image communication, internal, financial and recruitment communication and for B2B communication, BNP Paribas Assurance received a bronze Top Com award in the "Publishing" category for the book "Entreprendre pour un monde plus juste" [Enterprise for a Fairer World].

This publication promotes the commitment of BNP Paribas Assurance to social entrepreneurship throughout the world by:

- highlighting BNP Paribas Assurance's active participation in the economic and social development of the countries in which it is present, through a partnership with an independent international association, Ashoka;

- promoting the innovatory initiatives conceived and implemented by a wide range of players (private individuals, associations, etc.) and selected by the press agency Reporters d'Espoirs.

In particular, copies of this 72-page book, published in French and English, were presented to partners and prospective clients of BNP Paribas Assurance during the New Year holidays.

At the Bedouk MC&IT 2009 exhibition in Paris on 4th and 5th February 2009, BNP Paribas Assurance was awarded the KReA ANAe / Bedouk prize in the "Sustainable Development" category for its "Lumiиres d'Avenir" [Future Lights] evening at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris in March 2008, which was attended by 1,700 employees.

The Sustainable Development category was established to recognise events in all categories that demonstrate and fulfil commitments related to sustainable development in various stages of conception and production.
