OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 was announced, that in the beginning of 2009 major Russian grain processor PAVA signed a contract with Lebanon for a shipment of protein-rich flour “Zhitnitsa”. In end-March, the trial consignment was shipped from the Novorossiysk port, and as it is expected, will arrive at the port of destination in about 14 days.

For the Altay company, that rapidly develops its export business, this is the first experience of co-operation with Lebanon. The large trader singled out PAVA’s new product for its unique complex of vital nutrients which are preserved in flour owing to a special processing method.

“Zhitnitsa” will be distributed to bakeries of the country, where it will be mixed with standard grades and used in production of a new type of bread. The widespread material used by Lebanon bakers is soya flour; now they will have an opportunity to replace it with protein-rich flour which has flexible properties and can also be incorporated in the blend composition. Preliminary tests have shown that this bread has a new distinctive flavour and a great chance to appeal to customers. An additional advantage is that “Zhitnitsa” is competitively priced and increases the affordability of baked goods.

PAVA constantly expands its range of goods offered to overseas partners, and protein-rich vitaminised flour is the exclusive offer which allows the company to keep in line with market tendencies and build new partnerships.
