OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 April 2009 was announced, that Belarus had opened a tender to name suppliers of alcoholic beverages for the second half of 2009, the tendering commission said in a statement.

Bidders are supposed to present their applications by April 30.

Twenty-two suppliers were authorized to import liquors in January-June 2009, down from 24 in October-December 2008.

The list of suppliers includes OAO Prodtovary, OAO Minbakaleyatorg, OOO ServiceBytSnab, UP Minsk cold store factory #1, OAO Brest Bakaleya, OOO Evrotorg, OOO OP NII PKD, state-owned Belarustorg, UP Diakonia, ChUP Belkoopvneshtorg Belkoopsoyuza, OAO BelBakaleya, IP Garsia, joint venture PernodRicardMinsk, RUP Minsk Kristall, and UP DORORS.

Twenty-nine companies are allowed to supply alcohol-containing products [wine materials, brandy concentrates, cognac spirits, ethyl alcohol, mixtures and other spirit-containing substances] in 2009, up from 28 in 2008.

The list includes COAO Kodru, OOO Vinreal, ZAO Minsk Grape Wine Plant, ZAO Minsk Soft Drinks Plant, OAO Minsk Sparkling Wine Plant, OAO Pinsk Wine Plant, RUP Minsk Kristall, COOO Dionis Grape Wine Plant, UP Narochansky Beverage Plant, joint venture OAO Spartak, IP Coca-Cola Beverages Byelorussia, etc.
