OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ OAO Krinitsa, the largest brewery of the country, produced 7.276 million decaliters of beer in January-June 2009, up 6.1% from the January-June 2008 level, a representative in food concern Belgospischeprom told.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 6.3% on the year to 5.831 million decaliters.

Krinitsa beer output in glass bottles fell 8.2% to 918,000 decaliters, in kegs went up 22.4% to 301,000 decaliters and in cans rose 83.7% to 226,000 decaliters.

Sales totaled 6.341 million decaliters of beer in January-June, unchanged year-on-year. Sales totaled 1.263 million decaliters in June, up 0.3%.

Krinitsa accounted for 43.8% of Belarus’ overall beer production in January-June 2009, up 6.5 percentage points.

Beer exports increased 160% to 714,000 decaliters.

Krinitsa was founded in January 2001. OAO Polotsk Beer and Nesvizh soft drinks plant have been incorporated by OAO Krinitsa and operate as subsidiaries.
