OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 July 2009 was announced, that the Belarusian state-owned distillery Nemanoff, based in the city of Grodno, produced 413,000 decaliters of vodka and other hard drinks in January-June 2009, up 11.3% on the year, a representative in company told.

In monetary terms, the output went up 2.1% to 20.73 billion Belarusian RURles (Br).

Fruit wine output decreased 30.4% year-on-year to 55,000 decaliters, and raw spirit output rose 4.8% to 218 tonnes. Rectified alcohol output reached 207,000 decaliters, up 7.8%.

Exports to the Baltic States were at 16,200 decaliters of vodka, to the amount to U.S. \\$156,000.

Nemanoff makes 30 vodka brands and other hard drinks in regular and souvenir bottles.

The plant was established in 1896 as a brewery and later it was transformed into a wine plant. In 1994 the plant became a distillery to make hard drinks. In 2004, Vorochanski distillery was attached to the enterprise.
