OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 August 2009 was announced, that Moscow government has made a decision to cancel the development of a shopping centre above Shabolovskaya subway station of the Moscow metro.

The decision to reconstruct an above-ground vestibule of Shabolovskaya station and erect a mall with the area of more than 1,800 square metres over it was originally made in 2005.

“According to the Moscow government decree signed by Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, the project has been canceled with no penalty against the investor, LLC PKF TURAN, due to the impossibility of its implementation,” a source from City Hall said.

The city authorities also intend to ask the investor to produce the documents confirming its actual expenses for the project to the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering of Moscow for the recovery.
