OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 August 2009 was announced, that a Eurocopter delegation led by the Company President Dr. Lutz Bertling visited the base airports and subsidiaries of UTair Aviation for the first time.

Senior managers of the world leading company in helicopter manufacturing saw UTair operating capacities in Surgut and Tyumen, visited UTair-Engineering JSC and UTair Techniс LLC, companies that specialize in aircraft repair and maintenance and form a part of UTair Group of companies.

UTair foreign partners could see the capabilities of Russian-manufactured aircraft. In particular, Eurocopter senior managers flew Mi-26, an unparalleled heavy-lift helicopter.

In UTair Personnel Training Center in Tyumen which is one of the biggest training centers in the industry, foreign guests visited a simulator training center where helicopter pilots of UTair and other Russian airlines are trained.

Summarizing the results of the meeting Eurocopter President Dr. Lutz Bertling highly praised UTair industrial standards, facilities and capabilities of the Training Center.

In the course of the official visit a Memorandum of Agreement on the joint establishment of a certified center for flight personnel training has been signed. The new center will open in Tyumen in 2010 which will enable pilots and engineers to be trained to operate Eurocopter helicopters in Russia.
