OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2009. Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have worked out the mechanisms that will enable them to resume negotiations in October over admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the press service of the Ministry for Economic Development said in a statement quoting head of the Russian delegation at the WTO talks Maxim Medvedkov.

The three countries held consultations in Moscow on September 2-3. “As part of the consultations specific mechanisms were agreed upon which will allow the countries to resume WTO admission negotiations in the near future…”. Such talks are expected to be resumed this October,” Medvedkov said. According to him, these mechanisms will be submitted for review at the next meeting of the Customs Union’s committee in Almaty on September 24-25.
