OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2009. The ceremony of closing the International Export Commodities Exhibition of the Republic of Turkey that can be ranked among the bright events in the history of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation was held at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat. It should be noted that about 80 leading companies and enterprises from the fraternal country took part in the forum. The participants included the famous companies – Turkmenistan’s long-term partners as well as ‘the newcomers’, who are willing to operate on the Turkmen market.

The organizer of the specialized forum – the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the assistance of the Turkish Company MERIDYEN created the conditions conducive the fruitful work. During three days thousands of the visitors representing the state and private sectors of national economy, experts and people and numerous guests of Ashgabat got acquainted with the exposition.

The thematic sections representing a wide spectrum of the sectors of Turkish economy reflected the priority trends in Turkmen-Turkish cooperation. Dozens of the pavilions arranged on the spacious areas of the Exhibition Centre presented manufacturing and electrical equipment, construction materials and technologies, consumer's goods, etc.

Numerous presentations showcasing the Turkish manufacturers’ achievements illustrated the intention of the Turkish commodity producers to enhance effective business relations with the Turkmen colleagues and helped the Turkmen businessmen to establish the direct dialogue with the potential partners.

The strategy for diversification of Turkmen economy has substantially modified the structure of trade turnover between our countries. For the most part the exposition included finished products. The Turkish partners presented a wide range of technologies, equipment, spare parts, which are in great demand on the Turkmen market. These pavilions were very popular among the visitors.

Within the framework of the Exhibition closing ceremony the participants received the diplomas and certificates.
