OREANDA-NEWS. On 7 September 2009 was announced, that it began in 2005 when an Agreement on Cooperation between Belarusbank and Eximbank of the Slovak Republic was reached. This agreement stipulated the attraction of long-term credit resources to Belarus for the financing of trade between Slovakia and Belarus as well as the insurance coverage provision for the resources attracted.

In 2009 Belarusbank financed the supplies of technological equipment from Slovakia for JSC "Volozhinskiy maslosyrzavod" and JSC "Kopylskiy maslosyrzavod". The Exporter became the Slovak company VZDUCHOTORG s.r.o. The financing was carried out together with the attraction of borrowed funds of German banks under insurance coverage of Eximbank of the Slovak Republic.

On August 28, 2009 Belarusbank signed a loan agreement with the Slovak bank VSEOBECNA UVEROVA BANKA, a.s. with the aim of attracting the financing of supply of the Slovak equipment for JSC "Grodno Azot". The exporter is a known Slovak company OTEZA s.r.o.

Thus a new chapter of relations between Belarusian and Slovakian banks has been written.

On August 28, 2009 a meeting between Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in the Republic of Belarus Marian Servatka and the Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Belarusbank Vladimir Novik took place at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the Republic of Belarus. The topic of discussion was development of mutually beneficial cooperation between financial institutions of both countries.
