OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2010. The ministry informed that in 2009,  labor fairs were held in 57 cities and districts of the republic.

“In these fairs 24,190 vacancies in 3,022 establishments were offered.  As a result, 8,132 unemployed citizens got jobs, 866 were attracted to  preparatory courses and 419 received paid social jobs,” it was informed.

The events under slogan “First move in career” took place for students and graduates of Baku, Ganja and Absheron region.

“Within the framework of these events 470 establishments offered 2,351 vacancies. As a result, 431 persons were provided with jobs,” it was informed.

Over last year, 3,938 unemployed citizens, including 2,182 women, 1,875 young men, 186 refugees and forced migrants, 32 invalids got temporary jobs by means of labor registry offices, functioning in Baku, Sumgait, Nakchivan, Ganja and Mingachavir.
