OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2010. Belarus’ Finance Ministry has posted a republican budget surplus of 535.2 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), or 0.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in January-November 2009, an official with the Finance Ministry told.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 41.3 trillion rubles in the first eleven months, or 91.4% of the target for the whole year.

Tax revenues reached 23.6 trillion rubles, or 90.8% of the target for 2009, non-tax revenues 3.4 trillion rubles, 91.9% of the target, and Social Security Fund revenues were at 14.3 trillion rubles, 91.7% of the target.

Republican budget expenditures reached 40.8 trillion rubles, 88.1% of the target for 2009.

Expenditures on welfare, science, culture, healthcare, mass media, sports, education, etc. amounted to 17.8 trillion rubles, 86.5% of the target for 2009, national economy expenditures were at 11.1 trillion rubles, 80.4% of the target, and general state expenditures at 8.7 trillion rubles, 98.1% of the target.

Budget arrears amounted to 77.4 billion rubles as of December 1, up by 78.9 billion rubles from January.
