OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2010. The Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) summed up results of activity in January 2010.

AMFA reports that on 1st February 2010 its members’ portfolio on microloans amounted to USD 430 million.

“Simultaneously the number of the Association’s active members on loaning during the reporting date exceeded 293,040 persons.

On 1 February, the members’ overall loan portfolio on microloans amounted to USD 429.766 million and the share of risky loans in the portfolio made up 2.85% and paid loans were not observed over the reported term,” the Association reported.

Access Bank turned out to be the most active on granting of microloans. Its portfolio totaled USD 158.079 million on microloans. By 1st February, overall portfolio of AMFA amounted to USD 2.13 bn.

The report was made on 31 member organizations of AMFA.

AMFA was established in 2001 for the purpose to strengthen potential possibilities of Azerbaijani microfinance organizations and creation of conditions of joint rational activity within interests of the microfinance community.
