OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2010. A press conference dedicated to a new agricultural exhibition, AgroWorld Kazakhstan, was held in Astana.

The exhibition will take place on 1-4 November 2010 in Almaty. It is organised by two exhibition companies, Iteca (Kazakhstan) and Kenes International (Israel). Kenes International is the organiser of Agritech Israel, a large-scale, globally known exhibition that has been held biennially in Tel Aviv since 1977.

AgroWorld Kazakhstan will include such areas as greenhouse farming, vegetable growing and storage, drip irrigation, organic farming, and cattle, pig and poultry rearing.

Israeli companies have already confirmed their interest in participating in AgroWorld Kazakhstan, and intend to present the latest technologies and equipment in the fields of drip irrigation and greenhouse farming – currently one of the most important areas of development in Kazakhstan’s agro-industry.

Dan Meiri, Agritech Israel General Manager, said: “I am confident that, during the four-day AgroWorld Kazakhstan exhibition, famers will have the opportunity to learn about the latest equipment and technologies, researchers will be able to share experiences and research findings, and manufacturers will be able to find new buyers and investors.”

“The city of Almaty was not chosen by chance to host this exhibition – it is related to the thematic direction of the event. As the areas mentioned above are especially relevant to southern Kazakhstan, we are confident of the success of the exhibition. AgriCA, the Central Asian International Conference for Agriculture and Water technologies, will take place alongside the exhibition,” said Anna Bychkova, Project Manager of AgroWorld Kazakhstan.

The fact that the exhibition is organised by two major exhibition companies obviously affects the scale of the event. The exhibition’s programme of business events will be comprehensive and interesting. AgroWorld Kazakhstan will take place alongside World Food Kazakhstan 2010, the 13th Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition, which attracts over 200 companies from 30 countries each year.
