OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2010. According to preliminary data for 2009, the total amount of premiums collected by Ingosstrakh OJSIC in the North-Western Federal District of the Russian Federation amounted to 2.6 bln rubles, 1.0% more than the same indicator for 2008.

The amount of premiums for voluntary insurance other than life insurance is 2.3 bln rubles (0.2% growth), including 327 mln rubles for personal insurance (14.6% growth), 1.9 bln rubles for property insurance, 88 mln rubles for liability insurance (5.7% growth). Insurance premiums collected for compulsory motor third party liability insurance (CMTPL) amounted to 305 bln rubles (7.7% growth).

Indemnity paid by Ingosstrakh OJSIC in the North-Western Region for direct insurance in the 12 months of 2009 amounted to 2.4 bln rubles, including 384 mln rubles for voluntary personal insurance, 1.75 bln rubles for property insurance, 70 bln rubles for voluntary liability insurance. CMPTL indemnity payments amounted to 206 mln rubles.

Voluntary liability insurance and CMPTL insurance were the business segments with the most dynamic development in Ingosstrakh OJSIC’s branches in the North-Western Federal District.

Ingosstrakh collected the highest premium amount, 2.0 bln rubles, in Saint Petersburg. In the Arkhangelsk Region the premiums collected amounted to 174 mln rubles. The indemnity paid by the company amounted to 1.9 bln rubles and 153 mln rubles respectively.
