OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2010. XVI exhibition “Shipbuilding-2010” was held in Mykolayiv. “NIBULON” takes part in the exhibition for the second consecutive year.

Today the company’s activity is closely connected with the shipbuilding industry. In 2009 the company started the implementation of large-scale investment project, its program involves construction of 14 elevators, 10 of them are transshipment terminals and 50 self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels of mixed (“river-sea”) type with a total deadweight of more than 150 thousand tons; including the construction of 14 sea and river tugs. Implementing its plan, “NIBULON” will give a powerful impetus for revival of navigation along the Dnipro River - the main water way of Ukraine. Implementation of the project is in a full swing. The construction of fleet is continued actively.  Nowadays company’s fleet consists of 24 non-self-propelled vessels and tugs. At the end of April 2010 “Prybuzhany” tug and non-self-propelled vessel “NBL 015” went to the first successful trip along the Dnipro River to the transshipment terminal of “Vitove” branch of “NIBULON” in Chygyryn district of Cherkasy region.

Both Ukrainian and foreign companies took part in the exhibition. According to the Second Secretary of Trade and Investment Promotion of Embassy of Poland in Ukraine Zbigniew Ekert, who was present at the exhibition, traditional presence of Polish exhibitors in Mykolayiv is an evidence of Polish business interest and investment in Ukrainian economy.

The great importance of the event was emphasized by the department head of the economics committee of Mykolayiv regional state administration M.I. Tul’skyy and the head of economic department of Mykolayiv municipal executive committee V.O. Yaroshenko who were invited to the exhibition.

Today we have unprecedented example: agricultural company invests significant funds in the industry that was underestimated in Ukraine during some time. “NIBULON” proves that shipping industry in Ukraine is profitable.
