OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. The meeting of the Directors of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC and Energoatom NNGC (Ukraine) was carried out 0 in Moscow as a part of the “Production and Service” working group under the aegis of Rosatom State Corporation.

During the negotiations the Russian delegation was headed by First Deputy General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Vladimir Asmolov, the Ukrainian delegation was headed by Vice-President of Energoatom NNGC Ivan Foltov.

The meeting participants discussed the issues of companies’ cooperation in the field of improving the operation of nuclear power plants. Specific proposals were related to the establishment of a joint venture, cooperation in the equipment supplies, joint works on removing of customs and other administrative and governmental barriers.

The meeting estimated the results of the preliminary work in all these fields. There were created about ten working subgroups for preparation of organization proposals. The parties agreed that all these proposals have good prospects for the implementation and are ambitious in a good sense. Thus, companies have a good reason for entering the new format of interaction in the global co-operation.

According to Head of the Department of International Relations of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Anatoly Kirichenko, at present cooperation between Ukraine and Russia is a global partnership, a new format of relations based on a policy of rapprochement between the two countries, which determines the speed, scale and consistency of global integration. "In this context, Rosenergoatom Concern as a part of Rosatom State Corporation evaluates and outlines the plans for future cooperation with Ukrainian partners", — A. Kirichenko said.
