OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2010. Vedomosti business newspaper, in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Donors Forum non-profit partnership of grant-making organizations, will conduct the third annual Corporate Philanthropy Survey in Russia. The project is a successor to Vedomosti newspaper’s corporate philanthropy survey and the Donors Forum’s Corporate Donor of Russia competition, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The methodology for the survey was designed exclusively for Vedomosti by PricewaterhouseCoopers with the assistance of the Donors Forum.

The project is supported by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and the Russian Public Chamber Commission for Civil Society Development.

Both Russian leading companies (Pipe Metallurgical Company, Transaero, Seventh Continent, Uralsib Bank, Renova, UniCreditBank, Severstal) and representative offices of major foreign companies (Procter & Gamble Russia, Mercedes Benz RUS, Raiffeisen Bank, Intel A/O, British American Tobacco Russia) participated in the 2007-2008 survey.

Objectives of the 2009 Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy survey:

Drawing the attention of the public, state authorities and mass media to companies’ charity programmes;

Ranking companies involved in charity work in Russia;

Analysing the best examples of corporate philanthropy, identifying new trends and models in this area;

Performing an expert assessment of the charity programmes of companies operating in Russia.
