OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2010. Moscow Domodedovo airport participated to the 126th Schedules Conference held by International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Berlin (Germany).

The semi-annual Schedules Conference is IATA's largest event attracting more than a thousand participants. The goal of the conference is for airlines and airports to obtain the slots that will give them the best possible schedule to offer their customers.

During the Conference, schedules are adjusted mainly through bilateral discussions between airlines and coordinators regarding alternatives offered, or between airlines to exchange slots offered or accepted.

More over participation to this event of a large number of those who involved to international air traffic market relations allows for indentifying tendencies of its development, finding new trends of cooperation as well as to discuss possible solutions for current issues facing by industry partners.

IATA – International Air Transport Association was established to coordinate and represent interests of aviation transport industry in the fields of safety provision, flight operations, tariff policy, maintenance, aviation security and development of international standards in cooperation with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow makes 46%. At the moment 74 partner airlines (46 foreign including 11 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connecting over 228 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 91 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.
