OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2010. Secondary school graduates entering universities and colleges will be able to conveniently and quickly receive their entry results via SMS messages. Such opportunities will be offered by the service provided by Lintel, a leading directory inquiry service provider in Lithuania.

The service has been provided for the second year in co-operation with the Association of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions for common admission organisation (LAMA BPO) which is carrying out common admission to universities and colleges. About 40 thousand entrants are expected this year.

Entry results are available by sending an SMS message to number 1667. The price for ordering the service (sending an SMS) is 30 cents, a reply – 70 cents.

During the first entry stage, the graduate’s registration number in the Internet system for the servicing of entrants (ISAS) is to be entered in a text field without spaces During the second entry stage, the letters "LK" (for example, LK 12345678) are to be entered before the registration number. To get the results of the additional third entry stage, the letters "LP" (for example, LP 12345678) must be entered before the registration number.

First results on entrants invited to universities will be available as early as on the 23rd of July. Text messages with the results will be available on the 29th of July as well, when the lists of entrants invited during the second stage will be known.  On the 9th of August, the results of additional admission will be announced.

According to Remigijus Seris, Director of Lintel, a company belonging to TEO Group, the service is particularly valued by graduates and their relatives for its convenience and simplicity. Last summer, it was used by approximately 90 percent of entrants to high schools and colleges.

According to Professor Pranas Ziliukas, President of LAMA BPO, the more conveniently and easier the entrants receive the information about their entry results, the more time they will have to decide either to accept the invitation or to take part in the next entry stage.
