OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2010. The Russian Agriculture Ministry has postponed the government's interventions on the grain market, the ministry's press office announced.

Originally, interventions were scheduled to begin on Wednesday. The ministry did not reveal any new dates, however.

According to the ministry, due to the state of emergency in seven of Russia's regions resulting from forest fires, and in 27 regions because of the drought, the ministry is revising the forecasts for grain resources and consumption in Russia in order to boost grain consumption efficiency and provide an estimate for the regions' requirements for grain supplies from the intervention fund.
